Our Team
All our Podiatrists are degree trained, HCPC registered and members of the Royal College of Podiatry. This means we meet the national standards and are practising legally, safely and effectively, and are entitled to use the title Podiatrist.
Kirsty McWhirter BSc MRCPod
Practice Owner
Kirsty graduated with a BSc in Podiatry from Queen Margaret University in 1997. Since this time, she has practiced in both community NHS and private practice giving her exposure to a wide range of podiatric conditions. In 1999, Kirsty established Queensferry Podiatry and is proud to have spent 20 plus years as part of the Forth Physio (formerly JW Physiotherapy) team. Her close network of health professionals ensures that every aspect of treatment is considered with the optimal outcome for her patients. In order to maintain the highest standard of service and care, Kirsty regularly attends professional development and education courses. Outside of Podiatry, Kirsty is passionate about visiting other countries, hiking with her dog and running (well maybe not so passionate about the latter).
Anglea Millar BSc (Hons) MRCPod
Associate Podiatrist
Angela graduated from Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh with a BSc (Hons) in Podiatry in 2004. She has 12 years experience working within a busy NHS Podiatry Department. She has a wide range of experience across many areas of Podiatry including all aspects of wound care and biomechanics. She attained a Post Graduate Certificate in Health Studies from the University of the West of Scotland in 2015 and attends conferences and workshops to maintain the highest professional standards across her work.
Outwith podiatry, Angela enjoys hill walking, running and mountain biking and rewarding herself with cake afterwards!
Neassa Macdonald BSc (Hons) MRCPod
Associate Podiatrist
Neassa is HCPC registered, graduated from Queen Margaret University Edinburgh in 2009 and is registered with the College of Podiatry. Originally from Northern Ireland, Neassa has been in Scotland for the past 14 years. After qualifying, she moved to Inverness to start her career in the NHS and moved on to Aberdeen 8 years ago, working privately for the last year. She has recently moved to the Edinburgh area back to where it all began! Neassa enjoys meeting new people and hopes her enthusiasm for her profession can help her clients improve their general foot health.
Catriona Griffin BSc (Hons) MRCPod
Associate Podiatrist
Catriona graduated from Queen Margaret University with a BSc (hons) Podiatry in 2018 and since then she has enjoyed a varied career within both the NHS and private practice, covering everything from wound care to general podiatry treatments - she enjoys a good chat with her patients along with providing a high standard of care. Originally starting out doing a Saturday clinic, they proved so popular that Catriona now works a Monday too. When she’s not in the clinic you'll find her out with her two children enjoying some family time or pounding the pavements training for her first half marathon!
